Question 1

Do I need a subscription to use Kivoai?

Accepted Answer

No. Kivoai runs on one-time purchases and credit packs, so nothing renews in the background and no monthly charge appears after a quiet month. You buy capacity when a project needs it, and the account simply waits when you are not creating.

Question 2

How do credits work across the four tools?

Accepted Answer

One balance covers the AI photo generator, text to video, image to video, and the video extender, so you never have to guess which plan unlocks which feature. A still image costs the least, video cost rises with duration and resolution, and extending a clip is charged only for the seconds you add. The exact cost of a job is shown before you confirm it.

Question 3

What happens if a render fails or the result is unusable?

Accepted Answer

A generation that fails technically does not consume credits, and anything deducted in error is returned to your balance. A render that completes but simply is not the direction you wanted does use credits, because the compute was really spent. Testing at a shorter duration or lower resolution first is the cheapest way to find the look before committing to a full render.

Question 4

Do my credits expire?

Accepted Answer

Credits stay in your balance instead of resetting at the end of a month, which is the main reason people move off subscriptions. Buy for a campaign, use part of it now, and keep the rest for the next one. Long-dormant accounts are subject to the terms, so sign in occasionally if you are storing a large balance.

Question 5

Can I try Kivoai before paying anything?

Accepted Answer

Yes. New accounts start free with enough credits to run each tool at least once, which is the honest way to judge motion quality, seam handling, and image detail on your own material. There is no unlimited free tier, because every render costs real compute.

Question 6

Can I buy more credits in the middle of a project?

Accepted Answer

Top up at any time and the new credits stack onto whatever is already in your balance. There is no tier to upgrade, no proration to calculate, and no waiting for a billing cycle to turn over. Larger packs carry a better rate per credit, but nothing is locked behind pack size.

Question 7

Can I get a refund?

Accepted Answer

Unused credits can be refunded within the window stated in the refund terms. Credits already spent on completed renders cannot be returned, since the compute behind them is gone. If a charge looks wrong or a batch was deducted twice, contact support and we will check the generation log with you.

Question 8

Do I own what I generate, and does the price I pay change that?

Accepted Answer

Rights do not scale with spend. Whether you buy the smallest pack or the largest, output you create from your own prompts and licensed material is yours to use commercially under the product terms. Larger purchases buy more capacity, never more permission.
